Degree Audit Training for Academic Advising and Major Advising, ensuring transparency in educational requirements

Program Overview

The Degree Audit Training Program is a DEI initiative aimed at ensuring equitable academic guidance by training advisors and major faculty in the effective use of the degree audit system. This program standardizes advising practices, providing all students with consistent and accurate information about their academic progress. It also empowers advisors to better support diverse student needs, including those of first-generation and underrepresented students, by promoting transparency and fairness in the application of academic requirements. Additionally, the program includes a critical examination of degree requirements to identify and address any that are inequitable, unattainable, or unsuitable, ensuring that all students have an equal opportunity to succeed.
